Straycat
Blackie et al I have a Nokia 3310 with a AIS "one-2-call!" SIM-card. Friends & business partners overseas have reported that -- at times -- they cannot reach me when calling my 09-number. Apparantly, other times it works fine since I do get overseas calls on the 09-number. I also have received a number of SMS from overseas. (AIS is simply not correct when they say you cannot receive overseas calls at all on the pre-paid system.) Straycat Edit: Overseas calls gone thru have been from both the U.S. and Europe. quote: Originally posted by shotover: The 1-2 Call website says you cannot receive international calls on their system. Anyone else have experience with this? [ December 12, 2001: Message edited by: Khun Straycat ]
thalenoi
Just bought an older Nokia model (not 3310) for my GF last week with AIS sim card at MBK for 5000 baht, comes with 800 baht worth calls and an extra 1500 within 2 weeks. Asked a friend to call me from Europe, worked fine. She is at home now in a small Udon village and I just called her. All sounds good.
Guest
Thalenoi, was the simcard an 01 or 09 prefix?
SoiledCowboy
I call a Bangkok 09 prefix mobile from Australia on occasions and have had no trouble connecting. (have a rather large phone-bill to bear witness)
