preahko Posted January 22, 2007 Report Share Posted January 22, 2007 While walking in the park next to my apartment building (Soi Rangnam), I heard a serious of rather loud explosions at about 5:15 pm or so. Everyone started looking around to see where they were coming from (sound in the park, surrounded by apartment buildings, reverberates so wildly that it's impossible to tell direction just from the sound); I saw a few black puffs of smoke (over 10 stories up in the air, I'd say) that accompanied the last few blasts. The first one was definitely the largest. The smoke was kind of in the direction of Rama IX/Fortune Mall from where I stood... Anyone know any details on this? Almost an hour later, nothing on the news, and no sirens.
