JCK
Just a quickie. If I videotape TV programmes in the UK using a standard VHS machine, will those tapes play on a standard machine in Thailand? Ta.
coops
quick answer - yes also, if you're in US and record something, it'll also work on a 'standard' VHS machine in thailand........ Video recorders/players and TV's in thailand are compatible with PAL, SECAM NTSc or whatever.... (can't say i've ever seen a tv or vhs m'c that doesn't, but you never know). This seems fairly common around asia - don't know why poor old farangs have to worry about this kind of crap when they're in the UK etc. Most Tv's also come with a facility for dual language - so you can listen to the original usually english soundtrack or the local thai dubbed stuff. coops
