hall
Anyone give me an idea of taxi fare between Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang and more importantly how long it takes leaving Suvarnabhumi at about 3.00pm. Thanks Hall
MooNoi
Depends on traffic. 3pm SHOULD be ok though... as long as you take the freeway. If he uses meter then about 200B I would say - plus tolls. If not using meter, I reckon a "taxi meter" would try to pull 400B out of you. If reasonable / no traffic, then about 45 minutes. stanlaurel
Hall, while this probably comes too late for you, it may still be of interest to some: Thai Airways operates a free (show your Thai Airways ticket and it's free) shuttle bus every 30 mins from 8am to 6 pm between Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang. The stop is outside gate 4 on the second lane. Don't look for signs...there are none Anyway, (meter) taxi fee - plus ~100 Baht freeway toll - is rather 400 Baht during rush hour (200 at night/early morning). P.S. Takes 40 mins at night and anything from one to two hours at day ...
cavanami
If you take the "free bus" do they forward any luggage for you? so you do not have to deal with a suitcase on the bus? Would be nice if they did!
thalenoi
last Saturday (may 5th) took bus 555 at old Dong Muang to Savanaboom, landed 15.00 at DM and plane out SV was at 20.10, had 5 hours to transit, gave the bus a try. Booth is 50m North of DM taxi stand, nice people helping you with luggage. Guess departure every 30 min, had bus leaving 15.30, took Vipavadee, stopped many times to take passengers, took left somewhere, crossed Rachadapisek at Fortune and took Chonburi tollway, 45 minutes travel time. Dropped passengers at terminal (luckily no stop at Transportation Center) Cost was 34 baht
