Flashermac
Catholic churches in the Netherlands should use the name Allah for God to ease tensions between Muslims and Christians, says a Dutch bishop. Tiny Muskens, the bishop of Breda, told the Dutch TV program "Network" Monday night he believes God doesn't mind what he is called, Radio Netherlands Worldwide reported God doesn't mind

Flashermac
Nah, see if everybody says Allah, folks will all get along with each other - just like the Sunnis and Shiites.
Julian2
Don't the Dutch say Gott anyway? "Most Arabic-speaking Christian and Jewish Communities (including the Yemenite Jews, several Mizraḥi communities and some Sephardim), as well as Eastern Christians living in Muslim countries (such as Orthodox Christians in Turkey [2]), use "AllÄÂh" as the proper noun for "God".[citation needed]. The name's origin can be traced back to the earliest Semitic writings in which the word for god was Il or El, the latter being an Old Testament synonym for Yahweh[12] Allah is the standard Arabic word for "God" and is used by Arab Christians as well.[12]" Thus spake Wikopedia, the God of the internet. Flashermac
You'll also find it said the Allah was the name of a "pagan god" in Mecca before mohammad's time. Allah had several daughters - which supposedly accounts for a comment in the Qu'ran that Allah has no daughters.
