bkkman
I went to renew my Thai Wife 1 Yr Extension to my Non Imm O. They gave me all sorts of guff about proof that was not needed before ..... tax receipts, work permit, photos [we had done two yrs ago], Embassy letter about income [also done 2 yrs ago]. When things looked hopeless, my wife talked to the nice lady we had two years ago and she intervened. Next thing I know they are pointing to our 1 yr old daughter and saying we can have the 1 yr ext for her. Got it the next month after a one month temp extension. So after investigating, I found that if you father a child born in Thailand to a Thai and are over 50 yrs, you need not show any income to get approved as long as you are living with the child. Hard to believe but it is true in my case. Anyone else have this type of 1 Yr Extension ??
