However, with the 'no booze' rule for both days, many bars possibly closed, and girls away to Isaan: is it worth going there next weekend? (I can watch HBO and drink lolly water home in Bangkok.) elef Posted December 16, 2007 Report Share Posted December 16, 2007 There are rumours now that the police has told the bars in some cities (from Andaman coast to Isaan) that they can start serve alcohol tonight at 6 pm. 23rd is the election day but maybe we can expect that bars will serve alcohol from 6 pm. eyebee Posted December 17, 2007 Report Share Posted December 17, 2007 Last night, virtually all bars and gogos were up and fully running by about 10pm - it felt like a normal night. I expect it will be the same next Sunday (23rd). As the previous poster said, there is currently no ban on the 24th. However if a certain ex-PM's proxy party wins, who knows?
