Big holiday party with free food at 9:00 pm (not just crap food either - BIG prawns, small whole crabs, small individually cooked fish). The place was rocking, and I saw more good looking ladies than I have ever seen there before. I suspect that a nice slice of unemployed talent from chained-shut go-gos at NEP is now hanging out at Bamboo Bar. Mixture of live band (mix of rock and roll, and Thai pop music), and DJ stuff (last night a lot of pop version Christmas music that I despise, but in the spirit, nonetheless). All pool tables there have brand-new surfaces (recovered within past week),and they appear to have hired some nice new eye-candy staff (along with many of the old-time regulars). The place was really partying - last night was one of the best bar parties I have ever attended in BKK (and this is my fifth consecutive holiday season in BKK). I think they plan to repeat the party nightly for the next few nights. Worth a look. No - I am not financially connected to this bar. "Let the good tinmes roll!"
