I can't remember because I always caught the bus in Nong Khai and never took much notice by the time it got to Udon. dddave Posted February 19, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 Train to Nong Kai tonight from Bangkok, couple of days in Vientiene then back. Was there a Nong Kai-Pattaya bus?? That would work. I used to take the CHAN TOUR 24 seat bus from Udon to Bangkok from the bus station near the Chaeronsri Shopping center; very comfortable and carried two drivers. I used to cross the bridge in the morning, go down to the bus depot and book a seat then spend the day enjoying a quiet ale at somewhere like the Danish Bakers until the bus left.
