Guest
Hello All, In case you always had trouble with sending cash money to your Pattaya partner in the past here a simple suggestion, which can save you a lot of money. Step 1: Open in your own name an simple NEW account by your bank, this account should inlcude an ATM card (International with which you can get money in Thailand), and address (your own house address.) Step 2: Fill up the account to the amount you want to send to your friend. Step 3: Sent the ATM card include PIN number to your friend with registerd mail (EMS or DHL) Step 4: Your partner can cash the money here in Pattaya at all ATM's !!! ITS THAT EASY !!! (The whole process takes less than 3 days.) So faster than Swift transactions!!! and cheaper than Moneygram/Western Union Greetings Peter (www.PattayaPlaza.com)
phoenix
Thank you Peter, I have done that recently. But I went there, gave her the card, and emailed the PIN later. I would not send card and PIN in same envelope, even when in registred mail. You could send the card by mail, and upon confirmation of arrival, email the PIN. It is important to make sure the card can not be overdrawn, when setting up the account.
think_too_mut
It may be cheaper to do it this way but it is not for free. For example, my bank is going to charge me 5A$ per month for just keeping my account if it has less than 2000A$. I would not give a girl a card with more than 200-400A$ with the PIN anyway. So it's 30US$ per year for just having the card.
