Guest
I came across this artice in the BKK post: http://www.bangkokpost.com/230202_News/23Feb2002_news21.html Supposedly February's fullmoon party was resceduled to be on the 27th, a day after the full moon on the 26th which was Maka Bucha day, the holiest day in the buddhist calendar. And future parties are to be rescheduled to be a day after the full moon. But then I went to look at when the full moon actually was on lunar tables. The 27th. About 16:00 BKK time actually. So Maka Bucha day was on the wrong day, and the full moon party was on the correct one? My girlfriend explained this to me last night. The full moon last for 3 days, according to the Thais, and the holy days fall on the first of these days, a day before the astronomical full moon. So anybody know what gives? It this article BS? Seems no rescheduling was required.
