As they will be in Bangkok for a couple of days he wanted to see a Go Go bar and see what it is that I can`t stop talking about.... And now I`m wondering : I know the age limit is 20 for bars is Thailand, but will they have a problem entering a bar in NEP, Cowboy or Patpong`? They are all 17 years old.... And that goes for ordering beers in "normal" bars as well.... I told him that beer would not be a problem, but I`m not sure about the Go go`s. I have met several Swedish blokes aged 16 - 17 that went to Thailand alone and never had a problem. Once saw a dad and his 13 yr old virgin son barfine 2 girls together and head to the hotel (sharing the same room, no less!). I don't think you'll have a problem and the boys should be very popular. Surely, 13 years is an inappropriate age to be having sex and this boy was being abused. Weak jokes in bad taste aside, I'm curious as to the legal ramifications of this (not the entering a bar part, but the sex part). By Thai law wouldn't a customer of a prostitute have to be 16 (isn't that the minimum age for consensual sex)? I assume it would not be 18 (which is the minimum for a sex worker). Also I would think that any country (say, the U.S.) that could charge you with having sex with underage girls in a foreign country (I'm not sure what the real law says) could also prosecute you for taking your minor child out of the country to get laid. I had a nice little chat with the father, a divorced (obviously) dad from America who brought his kid with him to BKK to intoduce him to the father's favorite hobby. I told the dad that if I was the kid, I would want some privacy for my first sexual experience and not want dad watching me. The guy says that he hadn't thought of that and asks the kid if he wanted to go to the hotel alone with the girl. No, he was fine with daddy being there for the big event! Actually, the kid might have been 14 or 15 as my memory is hazy. The other girls were all jealous of the lucky girl that got to go with the "virgin boy". The kid looked pretty intimidated by the whole bar scene and all the attention he was getting. When father and son and their dates left the bar, all of the girls cheered and clapped. I had a mate at school whose father once gave him his porn stash for an early teen birthday present and he was embarassed as hell. Good on the young'un.
