FreeTime Posted May 18, 2008 Report Share Posted May 18, 2008 Recently I was looking at the Canadian embassy web sites in Bangkok and Manila to check on the procedure for residents of Thailand and the Philippines to apply for a visitor visa to Canada. I was surprised to learn that a visitor visa is issued for 6 months, though the actual length granted is up to immigration upon entry. A visa is never a sure thing, there are lots of factors involved. Anyone helped a lady from Thailand or the Philippines get a visitor visa to Canada? It would not be an inexpensive procedure if paying for the visa, the flight, and all her living expenses, but a three month visit in peak season might be a good cure for the summertime blues.
