The 12 year old Muhammad al-Durrah and his father Jamal became symbols of the Palestinian struggle, and the video was one of the main triggers for the second Palestinian intifada and a wave of suicide bombers. The video showed father and son pinned down by Israeli fire and ultimately the death of the boy. Now strong evidence suggest the video is a hoax, as confirmed by French court that has accepted a case against France2 TV for presenting a staged video as factual.
