He certainly had a less comfortable upbringing than did I (most of which was in the NorthEast, on a teachers' family salary). Best of luck Jonas. Jonas will receive $2000 for the concert and according to my wife Christy said that the price for her performance is "up to you"(sounds familiar). They will be staying at my wife's friend's house for 4 nights. She will give them one of her cars to use. My wife loves the opportunity to meet famous Thai entertainers when they tour the USA. Also, could you enquire how to find out when/where morlam and Lookthung concerts are on in LOS. I am a big thai music fan but it's so difficult to find out when singers are on, more a case of luck than anything. I would go to LOS just to see certain stars. When she lived there, she was never able to afford to go to any concerts. I showed her this thread regarding the cult connection, but in her usually Thai way she had zero reaction to it! thai3 Posted October 18, 2001 Report Share Posted October 18, 2001 Hi Jay Morlam concerts are often free or very cheap, Jintara gave one at cham Issan Pattaya a couple of weeks ago for free admission, funny really as I would gladly part with 6,000 baht to see her sing. There is a free one every sat at the mall Bang Kae Bkk which is worth a visit as it's on the TV. Well, not worth going all the way to Denver to see Christy and Jonas. There must be a large thai ex pat communtiy to make it worth their time.
