colonel Kurtz
Can anyone recommend a decent tailors in Pattaya,to get a pair of trousers for work. There are about as many tailor shops in Pattaya as bar girls, but most of them look like they make strides for MC Hammer or Norman Wisdom!!
Sukhumvit
Armani tailors From Beach Road, where the baht buses turn left, head into Walking Street. A hundred yards or so up on the left, past the seafood place you'll see them. The salesmen are from Pakistan and speak good English. They have the usual garish range of Middle European haute couture on display but if you look in the catalogues they'll have something reasonable. A friend of mine back here in UK used to work in a cloth merchants down in Saville Row in the late '70's. I wore a "cashmere" suit to work and he thought it was a very good cut and also the material may have actually been cashmere as it was something certainly closely resembling it. One word of warning, they will try to sell you "two suits" and cashmere overcoats,(beloved of Arthur Daley of Minder fame). Resist the temptation. I would get a couple of pairs of trousers though (wish I had, as the one pair I've got to my suit could do with a break from my sweaty arse).
