I go at least once each trip and only catch very small fish (groupers & pompano) You can charter a boat off of Pattaya beach or Jomtien beach. I paid 2500baht for a nice big sized boat all day fishing around the islands. Once I went to a soi 6 German bar (I think it was named fishermans bar or something) and did a trip.
