Flashermac Posted November 11, 2008 Report Share Posted November 11, 2008 Same issue: Gen Sonthi undaunted by Thaksin's threat The former chairman of the now-defunct Council for National Security (CNS), Gen Sonthi Boonyaratkalin, said he would have to wait for ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra to name his enemies and the people allegedly behind the civil strife before commenting. Gen Sonthi said Mr Thaksin is living overseas and may not want to speak much about it. When asked about political disunity in the country, the former Army chief replied he does not want to give his views on politics yet. Gen Sonthi believes there will not be war in the city, adding that he is not afraid of Mr Thaksinâ??s threats to "fight back" since he is not his enemy.
