Savittre
Hi Guys, Basically, I want to do either the RSA or TEFL. Unfortunately, both of those don't start again until January. As I'm planning to work in Bangkok, I don't want to be in a position where I've broken a contract or done something to damage my reputation- and I'm assuming here that I would be bound by contract for a year of something similar. But I want to do the RSA or TEFL in January. Is there any kind of work I could do in BKK for the next couple of months that would make it worth my while (i.e. pay enough money) to make it worth my while to stay here? I'm hoping to make 30K Baht/month, hopefully not unrealistic. My other alternative is to go down to Sumatra for a while, I love it there, but won't be earning any income... Thanks in advance!! Flashermac
You can make a reasonable amount in some of the private language schools, provided you work your buns off! Expect long hours five days a week. Check Stickman's site for some names and info. Some of these schools are always hiring (which tells you something). cardinalblue
Go to Sumatra! Put off teaching as long as you can. Start next year fresh and revitalized. Once you start teaching, you will be limited to do foreign travel unless you work part-time and call your own shots. Cardinalblue
