elfman36
Basic Observation: The best way to go when bringing Sanuk money would be to bring a few hundred in traveler's checks, then pull the rest out with an ATM as these two ways would best give me the best exchange rate? Also more convenient than carrying a bankroll either in currency or trav. checks? Really, this is my only question before I go in 3 weeks... Cheers, Elfman
CondomKing
Yes, ATM's all over the place. I would bring more than just a couple of hundred in TC's because if your ATM card is lost or stolen (small chance, but still) I would assume it might be a major pain in the ass to have it replaced. A major credit card is also a good idea, for the same reason.
Guest
Great advice... Carry some of everything... some hard currency (dollar, pound, mark, yen, etc.) some TC's and your ATM card... I ALWAYS leave my ATM card in the hotel safe... If you're a real frequent visitor to BKK you can even look into getting a thai bank account.. I got one at Thai Farmers Bank (TBF) at the main branch at Ratburana Lane.. UPSer
