Guest
I realize it's a long shot, but has anyone encountered a Wi-Fi (wireless LAN) network in the LOS?

Guest
According to an article in the Bangkok Post last year the wires in the ground are as good as in Western Europe, but the TOT refuses to let the public use them thanks to a dispute over pricing. According to that article (IT-section, someone living in LOS wrote it, but I can't recall the name) we could have DSL speed all over Bangkok (I don't know about the country). adikgede
While consumer access may be predominantly dial-up in Bangkok, there well be lots of radio networks used by businesses. In Jakarta we have radio antenna all over the place, and they are not jut for cellphones and telephone kiosks. I suspect the best way to really find out is to load up Net Stumbler or Air Snort and get busy
