Some more slang words. This is just to help in understanding 3rd party conversations, especially between males and to help when watching thai movies (quite often the subtitles don?t accurately translate slang.)

 

Not a good idea to try and use all of these words Unless used exactly right you could end up sounding silly.

Produced by the guy who directed Jan Dara , Nonzee Nimibutr. Hes done some quite interesting stuff inc.

 

Faa Talaay Jone, Nang Naak and Antapan Krong Muang (2499)

 

Bkk Dangerous was also directed by a Hong Kong director,Oxide Pang and has some HK actors in it.

 

I think this is a great movie. Its about a couple of low rent hit men in Bkk and I believe its been released in the US, and is about to be released in other countries.

 

Wasnt really popular in Thailand. A bit too "dark",has too much of an indie feel for the thais and the thais didnt really get it. Movies that are a little bit out of the ordinary often dont do well in Thailand even if they are thai movies.

lit. To have a relationship with. Used by bar girls as in "a trick" or go with customer . If you see a bargirl in her clothes late at night, a common question could be " khop laew rher" or "have you been with a customer already?"

 

To which of course she'd reply oh no we only had something to eat, or went for a drink, or he only paid the bar nothing else (jaay baa chey chey). Or some other such fib.
