Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban affirmed on Monday that blue-shirt protesters will not gather at Khao Yai Thiang in Nakhon Ratchasima province in opposition to the red-shirt protest there today.

The red-shirts are rallying there in protest against privy councillor and former prime minister Surayud Chulanont, whose country encroaches on the forest reserve.

Mr Suthep urged the red-shirts to rally under the rule of law and not to hurt innocent people or scurity officials.

There had been no reports of any protesters breaking the law so far, he said.

He did not know how long the protest would last, but he did not foresee any need for the army to send troopps to the area at this stage.

Police who were deployed there do not carry weapons, he said. They have only batons, shields and handcuffs.

It's what their Fuehrer told them told do. He's desperate, since the court is deciding on seizing 2 billion baht of his ill earned gains. Why else would they single out this one man - out of the many others also charged with buying forest land illegally?

"Die Strasse frei, den rotten Battalionen ... "
