Will the islands/beaches be deserted before Thai New Year 4/15

May has in general better weather conditions for the Gulf. The Andmanan side is at the beginning of thier rainy season than, hence why the Similan islands are partly closed for Live aboards and most operators stop running trips anyway.

My friends and I finally decided to visit Thailand in April but we're not sure whether the islands/beaches will be deserted before Thai New Year 4/15/10. If some shops and restaurants are closing for the New Year we would rather visit Thailand after the New Year like 4/16. Any suggestions?

 

Also what are some of the nicest and cleanest beaches/islands in Thailand and any from the list?

I have visited all, except from Songkriet which I am not even familiar with.

You should rather ask yourself what you expect from your trip and specify your requirements.

I am sure that "nice and clean" won`t do it alone?

You are referring to shops.

You wont find any shops on Koh Tarutao, Koh Lipe nor Koh Kood.
