USVirgin Posted February 14, 2010 Report Share Posted February 14, 2010 Watching him playing golf on TV at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, I was wondering why he wasn't at the epic surf contest being held at nearby Mavericks. I seem to recall him playing this golf event and basically being on standby to surf at Waimea, incase a swell arrived, but the PGA Tour changed the sked this year. In any case, what a lifestyle, having to surf, play golf and date hot chicks all the time! I googled him and found the following story written by Scott Ostler, one of my favorite sportswriters, who knows nothing about surfing. I guess Slater didn't surf the other day, but a google news search of Maverick's is worthwhile, because the waves were huge.
