Nice to see the PM is still firm on his 9 months plan again & finally using the word terrorists where its fitting! I say there's no better way out than this.

"PM: "Terrorists" involved in Sat violence

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva announced on Monday a group of armed men whom he called "terrorists" were among the red-shirt protesters and created violence in the hope to force a change in the country's administration.

The prime minister said this a statement on televison at about 2.05pm.

His statement repeated Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban's remarks about the "armed men" mingling among the protesters made earlier today.

Mr Abhisit said following the April 10 incident the people had obtained clear information which pointed to the same direction that there were "terrorists" among the innocent people demanding for democracy.

The Centre for Public Administration in Emergency Situations (CPAES), therefore, was working toward differentiating these terrorists from the protesters so as to be able to mete out proper measures to be taken to solve the problem, he said.

"I would like to ask all the innocent people not to cooperate with these elements. Once we can differentiate the terrorists from the people, we would be able to formulate proper measures to solve the problem," Mr Abhisit said.

The prime minister said the problem over injustice and democracy which had been raised by the protesters would be solved by the political sector.

Concerning this matter, he said he had been in close consultations with parties in the coalition government and would take his proposal raised in talks with the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) leaders for discussion to see whether it could be adjusted to offer a political way out.

His proposal was to dissolve the House in nine months or by the end of the year.

That is to say, while trying to differentiate the terrorists from the innocent people, the government would also take steps to solve the political problem.

Mr Abhisit maintained that the government, armed forces, police and coalition parties were still in harmony with an aim to bring the situation back to normal.

As of the April 10 bloodshed incident, the government would set up an independent committee to investigate it. The government would the committee full cooperation, he said.

The prime minister said their would be remedial action to assist those who were affected by the incident, including the injured, the dead and the business sector, regardless of their political affiliations.

"The government would go ahead to solve these problems according to these lines and hope the people would cooperate," Mr Abhisit said.

In his speech, the prime minister did not mention about the UDD's repeated call for immediate House dissolution."
