Abdulfattah John Jandali is the biological father of Apple cofounder Steve Jobs.

Jobs just resigned his post as CEO of the company due to tragic health circumstances.

The two have never met. Jandali has sent Jobs emails on his birthdays.

Says Jandali: "I just would like to get to know this amazing man I helped in a very small way to produce.â€

Jandali is 80 years old and still works as a vice president at a Reno casino. He doesn't plan on retiring.

TheStar.com explains why he was not able to raise Jobs as his own:

Jandali and his girlfriend, Joanne Carole Schieble (later Simpson), met at the University of Wisconsin, where he was a professor and she was a student, according to previous press reports. They wanted to marry, but Simpson’s father wouldn’t let her marry a Syrian immigrant, Jandali said. Simpson left and when their son was born in 1955, she gave him up for adoption. A few months later her father died and she married Jandali.

“If we had just held off for a few months, then we would have been able to raise Steve as our own, but sadly, that was not the case,†Jandali said. “We often spoke of our son and how we both wished he was with us, especially when Joanne gave birth to Steve’s sister, Mona. But nothing to do with Joanne and I was ever meant to be.â€

Jandali said he loved Simpson deeply. But after moving to Syria, the couple split up and Simpson returned to the United States with Mona. Joanne remarried and her daughter took her new husband’s name.

Wiki tells the story a little differently...

Jobs' biological parents – Abdulfattah John Jandali, a Syrian Muslim graduate student from Homs who later became a political science professor, and Joanne Simpson (née Schieble), an American graduate student who went on to become a speech language pathologist – later married, giving birth to and raising Jobs' biological sister, the novelist Mona Simpson.

So the story now becomes obvious... Jobs creates this expensive stuff that every kid in America (and all the grown up kids) has to have at least two of and... what an evil mater stroke... GETS IT MADE IN CHINA!!!!

No wonder the Muslims are winning.

A Muslim who works in a forbidden gambling casino?

<< “I’m a non-practicing Muslim and I haven’t been on the Haj, but I believe in Islam in doctrine and culture, and I believe in the family. I have never experienced any problem or discrimination in the United States because of my religion or race. >>

Ya Libnan

Translation : "I don't believe a word of the Qu'ran any more, but I have to say I'm a Muslim if I want to continue doing business in the Middle East."

Never heard of it. Evangelicals don't put fatwas on people. Also, they don't kill folks who abandon their faith. They just pray for them. Actually, I suspect a fair number of politicans are closet agnostics, but they would never admit it for fear of losing votes.

Also, there are some pretty wild strip clubs in the Bible Belt. Got any in the Middle East? ;)
