paulo069 Posted April 30, 2002 Report Share Posted April 30, 2002 Having been to phuket this year and thoroughly enjoyed myself, next year i am looking to try a different far eastern country. i am looking for beautiful cheap women, beautiful scenery, a coastal resort, trying to avoid places like Pattaya which is too busy and over the top. For me Phuket, with its massage parlours and beach bars where sex is so readily available along with good food, cold beer and a nice quiet beach is heaven. Do any of you have any ideas ? - i tried researching Bali and Penang but not enough info readily available to come to a conclusion one way or another. Does anyone have any info on the Philippines ? If you are looking for a wonderful pleasant town with a lot of bars, restaurant and even a good shopping-center, head to Georgetown on Penang! Pangit Posted May 7, 2002 Report Share Posted May 7, 2002 Have you considered the PI. Not as commercialised as Thailiand and a hell of a lot cheaper. Subic bay has nice beaches but only a small bar scene about 15-20 wothwhile bars but the barfines incl the girls' share are only about USD 20. You are not obligated to pay any more but tips are always welcome. The only expensive thing is the hotels which are about USD 20-30 a night and are pricey for what you get when compared with Thailand. If you get bored with Subic you can always travel up to Angeles which is about a two hr drive away. This place is full of bars but a bit more expensive. pattaya127 Posted May 8, 2002 Report Share Posted May 8, 2002 A buddy went there this winter and said PI are more expensive than Thailand, 25% in general, budget hotels below thai standards but more expensive, BGs same psychology as LOS (surprised?), but a lot more mercenary. Best way to get there is swagman tours, an Aussie who runs a bus there out of Manila. You might look aroiund Makati in Manila or even go to subic IMHO Angeles has more girls. Strategy is simple, hook up with one you think you like and ask her if she'd like to be your guide to Boracay or PangLao beach in Bohol for a few days, she'll probably jump at the chance. Boracay is a big resort area, you can look into a package deal for flight and maybe a few days stay, specials and promos all the time. For Bohol (my choice) you have to go to Cebu first then catch the ferry, check out the Bohol diver club for a reasonable stay. I'Ve done my share of Sanuk in TL including the Phuket, Pattaya and Phi Phi deal, the PI is really lovely, great for water activity has some gorgeous women all at a better price than TL.
