I have installed CFOS dsl dial-up connection for broadband internet connection and ever since it will always try to automatically connect to the internet when I start my computer... danish30 Posted May 1, 2002 Report Share Posted May 1, 2002 Umm, I don't know the specific dsl software you installed, but I guess it must have installed itself as a service. Try checking the services to see if there is one named like the software giving you problems. If so, then you can set the startup to Manual this should prevent it from auto connecting at startup. Guest Posted May 1, 2002 Report Share Posted May 1, 2002 Danish30, That is what it did!! installed itself as a service and automatic startup....set it to manual start-up, rebooted computer and it now longer starts automatically!
