The opening to this towering hotel is well decorated with trees and a 'through passage' to Soi 23 for taxi's and other traffic that's guarded by security. The stripe-effect is noticeable for slowing down traffic moving past alongside the hotel.

The reception is a multi-chambered affair with a sitting area, reception area and sub-lobby's that take you through to different area's like the Business centre elevator.

Despite the overwhelming 'suit and tie' crowd I was gladly given the tour of the hotel.

I was really impressed by the bold and ambitious architecture. Once you take the lift up above the lobby you come through a floor of glass and a wide, oval chasm with rooms on either side greets you. The chasm runs up through the hotel to a vast skylight on the top.

On the roof I'm told there's a swimming pool.

The first room was a deluxe class (this is the cheapest class) which was opulent and comfortable. The beds are the right balance of hardness and softness required for a comfortable nights sleep. The views were splendid as well.
