gobbledonk
I only mention this because they seem to have actually managed to wheel 3 of the original 4 members onto a stage in England: On 19 May 2012 at 20:30, GMT, Butler, Iommi and Osbourne took the stage at the O2 Academy in Birmingham, England together for the first time since 2005.[155][156] Their hometown show was to serve as a warm-up for their Download Festival and Lollapalooza Festival appearances later in the year, and sold out in a matter of minutes when it went on sale two weeks earlier. Tommy Clufetos completed the live line-up on drums.[157] The band played for 1 hour and 50 minutes[158], including many rarely played classics in the setlist for the first time in many years. Drummer Bill Ward, initially holding out for more money, appears to have spat the dummy: On 15 May 2012, Bill Ward posted on his website that "after a final effort to participate in the upcoming Sabbath shows a failure to agree has continued" and that he would not be participating in the reunion shows, but "will remain with an open mind and a position of willingness to negotiate 'signable' terms with Sabbath’s representatives in the future."[152] On 18 May, Black Sabbath removed photos of Bill Ward from blacksabbath.com by cropping him out. On 19 May, Geezer Butler released a statement expressing sadness at the loss of Bill Ward. He further unveiled that drummer Tommy Clufetos was rehearsing with them in England Can you imagine going to a Stones' site to find that Charlie Watts had been photoshopped out ? The rest of the band claim it was at Ward's request - in any case, not great for the diehard fans who have been buying tickets to gigs purely based on rumours of a reunion.
