Redbaron
Hmmmmm. Soi Zero. Is that were the Soi Zero bar was located? Yep, there were a few of them, sort of under the overpass by the train line.. On the other side of Suk the vendors used to have to move all their tables etc off the tracks whenever a train came. I'm sure people were injured or killed over the years but could be wrong... Some locals actually lived just by the tracks on the side opposite the bars ("odd numbered" side). You would often pass this area as you got off the freeway coming from the airport to Suk.
gobbledonk
Something for free in LOS that must be a first I can get you a free Tuk-Tuk ride. Very scenic. Brothels, gold shops and timeshare condo sales - what more could a hansum man ask for ?
Flashermac
Years ago I knew a taxi driver who told me about the vouchers for petrol he'd get from jewellery shops for bringing in tourists. Every now and then I'd let him take me around so he could get enough to pay for his fuel for the week. Never bought a thing from the shops. He told me taxi drivers got a 5% commission on anything customers they brought in bought up to 20,000 baht, and 10% for amounts over that.
