I haven't seen them for a while - may be a bit tough cornering in the city. Around 1986 the city tried some London-style double decker buses. They ran for just one day only. I saw one on Phetchburi Road and climbed on, even though I wasn't going where it was; most Thais stared at it and refused to get on. Turned out the buses were too high for the hanging cables in Bangkok. Rather than raise the power lines, they sent back the buses. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
