An unidentified farang was found stabbed to death and stuffed inside a black plastic bag on a mountain rubber plantation in Patong on the evening of 30/11/12 by local villagers. He was wearing just black underpants and no identifying documents were found in his possession. The head showed signs of having been hit with a blunt instrument and he appeared to have been stabbed in the back several times. Time of death is estimated at about 3 or more days ago. He was described as having black hair, about 175-185cm in height, 80-90kg and 30-40 years old. Police think he was killed by farang mafia, possibly with Thai involvement too. Forensic police say the body was dressed in underpants of the same color, brand and size as underwear found in the Hungarian man's apartment on Phuket. DNA tests are being made to confirm the man's identity after officers spent 90 minutes at the spot on Phuket where the body was found and took blood samples from leaves and a plastic bag. Samui detectives are joining colleagues on Phuket in the hunt for the killer or killers. Police on both holiday islands quickly put a missing person case together with the murder after the badly-stabbed body was found about 6pm yesterday on Phuket. Samui police told their Phuket colleagues that at 11.30am on Wednesday, Hungarian Andor Buda Pozsgai, 36, reported to officers on samui that his friend, Peter Reisz, 47, had gone missing. He said Mr Reisz came to Phuket on November 23 in a white Toyota Vigo pickup and booked an apartment at Paklok, in eastern Phuket. Mr Reisz's mobile telephone had not been working since November 24, Mr Pozsgai told police. The receptionist at the Phuket apartments said Mr Reisz and his vehicle had not been seen since soon after he arrived. Mr Reisz was in a business dispute with another Hungarian on Samui, according to Mr Pozsgai. The body of the man was found yesterday wrapped in plastic by locals near Bang Thong Village in central Phuket, not far from the main Phuket City-Patong road over Patong Hill. The wrists were bound and there were multiple stab wounds to the head, chest and an ankle. After an estimated week in a pond, his facial characteristics were no longer apparent.
