think_too_mut
wyd, The 4500 mark you mentioned, is it what you know the fee is in rural areas or based on the BKK prices? I asked the same question 3 months ago (the thread has been deleted) and I think that figure was for installing a direct line in an apartment. My gf is telling me that before it was 500Bht in villages (if a cable was somewhere reasonably close) but now she is saying it goes up to 8000Bht. And that promotion, I am assuming it is nationwide (I better tell her today). 10 minutes after posting my message, I went to telecomasia.net.th but the site has reported number of errors. I think it's not very good anyway. Could not find a word about that promotion. Where did you find out?
whosyourdaddy
The promotion is not on the telecom asia site. At least I could not find it. I went into telecom asia in MBK center and asked them. The 4500 Bhat was what I paid for a line in my old apt 1.5 years ago. ( most of it was a security deposit. Not sure of the upcountry price. 8000 bhat might be resonable if they live far away from the phone lines
