Flashermac
The Immigration Bureau announced on its web site that foreigners who seek immigration police's services at the Government Complex should instead seek the services at Imperial World Ladprao branch. The branch is located on the fifth floor of the shopping mall. The bureau said foreigners can find out for more information at its 1111 hotline. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/breakingnews/Immigration-police-urge-foreigners-to-use-services-30221136.html
cavanami
There is trouble at the main Immi complex? haven't heard any of that Nice to have another option but if you go by taxi on the elevated toll road, should be no issue with the protests. Flashermac
No trouble, just protesters camped there. I plan to go to Jaeng Wattana as usual. But remember the warnings from foreign embassies. Lots of folks are afraid of their shadows. According to Stickman KSR is almost empty. Backpackers these days are nervous types, not like John Everingham ... who rode a motorbike through RVN and Laos when the war was still going on. Flashermac
Their website doesn't say that. It just "encourages" you to go to Lard Prao. http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/intro1.html WTF is that supposed to mean? Now where am I supposed to go? Flashermac
Just got a call from a friend who tried to go to Jaeng Wattana. He said no taxi driver was willing to go there. He even offered them 500 baht to go and was refused. They said it is packed with people and traffic is terrible. You can't even get into the building. Looks like Lard Prao then. p.s. Cav, I have to go to the Bangkok Immigration office. Samuk Sakhon no can do. That is only for you upcountry folks.
