The girls i'm with usually used the word ''home'' or the french word for man. They say it if they sniff my cheast or neck. I would guess it has something to do with the deodorant i use?? I always wash/shower before i go out with a girl and like to be clean. Anyone?

Thanks-

Home: It means the place that you are living which have your family included too.

But if you mean smell good it should be(Hom mak mak or hawm mak mak)

Sap for Isan that means very delicous.

Hi Martin,

I don`t mean to be nit-picking here, but I`d say that the french pronounciation of "homme" has very little to do with "Horm" in thai. Firstly the "h" in "homme" is silent and furthermore it has a double consonant. smile.gif Hmm, guess I was nit-picking after all, solleee! smile.gif

"Horm" in thai could also refer to the famous thai "sniff kiss".

llike in: "Kor Horm Gaem Noi" Can I (sniff)kiss your cheek?

"Horm Aroy" would be understood but you would never hear a thai say that. Both words make good sense on their own, but you cannot combine them the way you would in english or danish for that matter.

Just to be sure on this I doublechecked with the long-haired dictionary.
