Guest
Can any of you guys currently enjoying the hospitality in LOS let me know how much the local bureaus are buying British pounds for? I've been quoted two rates in the UK, 55.9 Baht to the pound by Thomas Cooke (with a 3 pound commission) and 57.4 by the Post Office (No commission). My mate has been quoted 59.1 by LLoyds but only because he has a special account. The currency converter on the net is quoting 62.1 but I can't find anywhere near that. I don't want to revive the argument about TC's v ATM's but would I be better off waiting until I arrive in BKK before I buy the Baht? "Many a mickle macks a muckle" as our tartan friends would say. Many thanks.
