Oddly enough, non-native English-speaking strangers I encounter on my travels quite commonly, upon discovering my true nationality, express genuine surprise and say, "Oh, but I thought you were Australian!" :hmmm:

 

That had always puzzled me. I suppose it sort of makes sense now. :drunk:

 

(I will, hereafter, take it as a compliment. :hug:)
