  1. The Fall, not a film but a 17 episode TV series aired between 2013 and 2016. "A psychological thriller that examines the lives of two hunters. One is a serial killer (Jamie Dornan) who stalks his victims in and around Belfast and the other is a talented Detective Superintendent (Gillian Anderson) from the MET who is brought in to catch him." Very absorbing and Gillian Anderson is hot 👍👍👍 Currently available on BBC iPlayer
  2. Is this for real?! "Starting yesterday, commuters will get charged for baggage when they hop on a Bangkok taxi. Additional charges may apply on trips to and from the airports. Charges of up to THB100 (US$3) for each baggage item such as boxes, sports equipment, musical instruments, bikes, and luggage will be applied to a passenger riding in a Bangkok registered cab, as outlined in an announcement in yesterday’s Royal Gazette. Smaller personal belongings such as purses, laptop bags, and backpacks are not included, as well as wheelchairs and other aids for people with disabilities, the elderly, and hospital patients. If the stowed item is 50 inches or more in length or width, then passengers will have to fork out up to THB100 per item, while a charge of up to THB20 applies for items between 26 inches to 49.9 inches in length or width. Try to get away with several smaller bag strategy? Commuters can bring at the maximum of two smaller items because the charge of up to THB20 per item can be applied to the third one onwards. Taxi drivers can also levy extra service charges when they take passengers from or to Don Muang and Suvarnabhumi International Airports, but they are required to notify the passengers of the charges before the trip."
  3. That would mess life up for quite a lot of expats!

The sheep is called Double Diamond. Written By Akanksha Arora A Texel lamb became the world’s most expensive sheep after it was sold for £367,500 at an auction in Scotland. Reports by Texel Sheep Society suggest that the sheep is called Double Diamond and was sold to 3 farmers at the Scottish National Texel Sale in Lanark on August 27. The bidding started at £10,500 and soon it turned into a fierce battle between different consortiums. World's most expensive sheep Jeff Aiken, who is one of the 3 buyers reportedly said that something special always turns up every once in a while and this time it was this Texel. He added that everyone wanted a part of it. Texels are a rare breed that comes from the small island of Texel, according to reports by Texel Sheep Society. The sheep was sold by Charlie Boden from his Sportsmans flock in Cheshire. Aiked had already partnered with another breeder to bid together for the rare Texel. However, when the demand for the Texel increased with a surge in price, that is when a third breeder joined in. Talking about the sheep, Aiken reportedly said that he is an outstanding animal with all the best genetics. He added that 7 to 8 people wanted him really badly and that led to the increase in price. Texels usually sell for five-figure sums. The previous record for a sheep sold at the auction is £230,000. It was set in the year 2009. In a recent developemnt, a few days back, thousands of sheep from Sudan that were found to have not have followed quarantine procedures while transporting them was sent back from Saudi Arabia and as a result many have died due to hunger and thirst. According to reports from a global media, 3,000 out of 58,000 sheep returned by Saudi Arabia died in the absence of food and water while others drowned during the journey.
  5. Oi, speak for yourself, I resemble that remark! 😉
  6. Interested as to why this thread is titled "Thai ban on International/American travel to Thailand". Surely "Thai ban on International travel to Thailand" would have sufficed, as presumably all travel from other countries is international?
  7. Just checked the recent traffic and 84 of the last 100 posts are in the USA Thread and that doesn't mean that 16 were about Thailand because only 8 were. I guess anyone thinking of joining Thai360 would take a look and realise that it's not about Thailand and just move on! Sad. Is it really worth keeping going when 84% of the traffic is 3 or 4 guys having pointless arguments about USA politics?!
  8. His donation page closed at midnight on Thursday at the end of his birthday, totalling £32,794,701 from more than 1.5m supporters. That's about Baht 1.3 billion.

  13. Coronavirus: NZ health minister breaks lockdown at beach 1 hour ago Share this with Facebook Share this with Messenger Share this with Twitter Share this with Email Share Related Topics Coronavirus pandemic Image copyright Getty Images New Zealand's health minister has called himself an "idiot" after breaking the country's lockdown by driving his family to the beach. David Clark admitted the 12-mile (20km) drive was "a clear breach of the lockdown principles". He offered his resignation to Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, but kept his job because of the ongoing crisis. But he has been been demoted in cabinet rankings and also lost a secondary position of associate finance minister. On Sunday, Scotland's chief medical officer resigned for making two trips to her second home during the lockdown.
  14. I have got no idea why anyone would pay £130 for a bottle of blended whisky, no matter what colour the label is! I can get 3 quality single malts for that price, including my favourite Caol Ila 12 yo, and probably still have some change!
  15. I received a letter from the NHS advising me not to leave my home for at least 12 weeks because the medication I'm taking for my psoriasis is an immunosuppressant and I am therefore at a higher risk of severe illness if I contract coronavirus! Think I'll wean myself off the psoriasis meds as there's no chance of me staying at home for 3 months!
  16. YMCA by The Village People has inspired partygoers to wave their arms around on countless dancefloors since 1978. It's feelgood. It's camp. It's cheesy. The US Library of Congress has also now decided it is historically important. The library has added the disco classic to its National Recording Registry, which preserves for posterity audio that is "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant".
  17. Wish I was in Luang Prabang right now 🤔
