Freaky Mouse Diagnosed: Heat and Humidity

About a month ago I posted a call for help. My IBM Thinkpad mouse had gone crazy, running wildly around the screen and giving button down commands. Then it would freeze in the upper left corner. I could not use it. Who knows what it would command itself to do on one of those excursions!

I took it to a good shop in Pattaya, but because my hd has a bad sector, they wanted to change it and would not discuss the mouse problem. We had the communication gap. I had been working around the bad sector for over a year, but they couldn't understand that in English. I decided to wait until I was back in the US.

After I left the shop I put Mrs. May under the bed in Pattaya for about two weeks. One day I pulled her out because I missed her. Power on! She worked fine!

Now I am back in the US and she is 100% back to normal. I asked at a repair shop what the problem might be. They knew someone who had gone to Brazil and their laptop also malfunctioned. Heat and humidity was the diagnosis.

My wife was just cranky...

The missus and I are happy, happy again.

"Let's go ahead and post this sweetheart."

"Okay, Daddy. I love it when you push my buttons!"
