think_too_mut
If you are using Windows, just did it today (December 7. 2024). It took 11 hours, home DELL desktop. Internet is super fast where I am. To get to 5% took 5 hours. To get from 15% to 30% it took 4 hours. From 30% to the end another 2 hours. I could delay it but the PC became slow and I did not need it this Saturday day time. Now appears to be faster. What Microsoft actually did, most of that I don't need. Banned kernel interactions with anyone and added more devices that can be upgraded (like Acer and other small brands). No way IT departments of companies would allow that. What they do, they download the upgrade, test it, then push what has to be done (no local download of the upgrade) , limiting the time to 1 hour max.
