cuba/costa rica - the farewell trip part 5

get to cafe havanna about 9pm. $10 cover charge, so i ask to take a look inside first (highly recommeneded). the place was empty - starts filling up around 11. havanna is definately a late night city . some clubs dont open till 10 and most shows seem to start between 11 and 12. checked out a few more venues and it was the same story. even my beloved disco

 

commodore had been closed down and turned into a restaurant due to drug and prostitution scandals. so, it was back to the jazz cafe to waste a couple of hours listening to some catchy tunes and downing a few cristals.

 

 

 

i left there by 11 and the cafe was pretty lively, lots of girls so if nothing else turned up i would make my way back. outside i was approached by a guy on the street " you want

 

dancing , you want girls - i help you" . what the hell , take me somewhere i dont know. we ended up in central havanna at a small bar called las vegas. gave the guy $5 for his help,then i went inside. this was definately not in any tourist books. the bar smelled of a combination of piss and sweat, but was busy as hell - lots of girls. there was a mini cabaret of sorts going on , 4 dancers in bikinis and large headwear wiggling their arses to a bongo beat. found a table, got a beer and within minutes had a girl ask if she could sit down. her name was marbelis and i liked what i saw so bought her a beer. she asked where i was staying and when i told her the riviera , she said she had a connection there and could get upstairs- pretty darn impossible from previous visits , so i was a bit

 

sceptical.

 

 

 

by 4 am we were back in the lobby bar at the hotel and she was negotiating a deal with security.the deal was $20 for a casa particular(private accom - not normally too good),

 

or $40 bribe for the security guard for 2 hours in my room . no brainer there , and after paying the 40 we were escorted upstairs . sex was ok, (she seemed to enjoy it cause she

 

kept telling me how big i was- and we,ve all been told that before hey guys,especially when we are paying for it- lol).basically oral and straight sex are no probs , never tried anal with her, but not too sure how willing the girls are for that in this part of the world. paid her $20 plus another $5 for a taxi, and sure enough at 6 am there was a knock at the

 

door and security were there to escort her back down - no chance of LT. i arranged to meet her tomorrow at 2, with the intention of going on a city tour with her( and she was

 

thinking a whole weeks work no doubt).

 

 

 

lessons learned tonight -

 

1) - cuba awakes at midnight

 

2) - it is possible to get a girl into a hotel room

 

3) - if a bar smells of piss - its good.
