Islands and beaches of Thailand

DSAB wrote this in Gen Disc, definitely a good post to start an "island" section on A&C:

Maybe you could try Munnork Island. It's in the Rayong Province. I was there last year, and it was great. It's a small private Island, with only a few bungalows. If you book it, it is more or less all inclusive, but in a different way. You get Thai Breakfast, Dinner and Lunch. Prices for drinks are reasonale, and it is very peaceful and romantic. Especially in the evening with a nice female and a beer on the empty beach. The whole island, incl. kitchen is managed by 4 thai guys. Food is served on a little outdoor terrace at the beach. They don't speak much english. The bungalows are basic, but quite nice. They have AC and an outdoor shower. When I was there, there were only 6 other people on the island. There are no ferries who carry over day tourists. So you have the georgous Beach on your own.

You can walk around the island in about 30 minutes. There are even peacocks. :-)

When you watch Thai TV there is currently an advertising for Sunslik Shampoo with Beach scenes. They filmed that one, when we were there.

Cheers,
