thai3 Posted January 13, 2002 Report Share Posted January 13, 2002 If tou have not seen it Monrak Trasistor is a very enjoyable film, saw it twice last week. The story of a country guy who longs to be a lukthung singer and who runs away from the army to chase his dream. Has to wait two years for his big break then kills his boss when he tries to seduce him. Becomes a cane cutter, does two years in prison on shit duty before going back to his wife, funny and sad with some well observed jokes on thai society and the poor. Not enough singing as the songs are mostly Surapol ones and classics. Also went to see the three ghosts film and was surprised to see a five year old sitting behind us getting the fright of his young life, are there no laws about what kids can see?-peter Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
