Guest Posted October 20, 2002 Report Share Posted October 20, 2002 I was looking into putting my TG in an English class, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good school. My TG is university educated and has far better written English skills than spoken. We can converse together pretty well, but obviously I would like her to get fluent, which she certainly is not. She's a real go getter and would like an intensive course that will improve her spoken English. Any ideas? One thing: I put her in a 15 hour course with an Australian teacher. The guy kept hitting on her everyday before and after the lesson which was annoying to both me and my TG. She would be more comfortable with a female teacher or a thai teacher... British Council and IDP are good schools but they charge. Female teachers are hard to find and I don't see the benefit in learning from a Thai teacher. Worse comes to worse contact me.
