hawaiijohn
Last year's Thai Air calendar had several Buddha images, many of which are displayed at the Bangkok National Museum. Where is ii located and what is the best way to get there if you are in Sukhumvit area?
rovineye
It is very close to Thammasat University (just north)off Th. Na Phra That along thr Chao Phraya river. Not too long a walk from Royal Grand Palace. Lots of stuff there, but not all in the best condition. Worth it for me just to see the funeral chariots. Pair it up with something else in the area for a full day. Palace, National Arts Gallery, Wat Pho, river ride, or the Royal Barges across the river. Get some great street food just south of the university at Maharaj market. Amulet market nearby along the road. Interesting. Oh yes. Taxi.
