All the bars had to shut down, but the coffee shops -- Thermae, Thai Yonok and Grace -- were allowed to stay open. All the gals still out for business would go to one of them, along with the freelancers who hung out there. It was often more fun in the coffee shops than in the rather tame go-go bars. (No nudity allowed back then.) I also remember when midnight closing hours were enforced for a while, usually temporarily after one of those too frequent 1970s military coups.
