If Romney gets only 36.5% of the popular vote, it would be worse than what Goldwater got against Johnson and the worst showing by a candate since the early 1800's. He and his "binder of women" would be laughed out of town.

I've been noticing that Willard sounds more and more like a Democrat as we get closer to the election. Maybe his stategy is to sound more like a Democrat than Obama. He can always revert to his old Republican self if he wins.

As you state, the Republicans are for the rich. What amazes me is how thay are able to win any elections at all when the rich is only a small fraction of the population. They have somehow convinced a lot of low and middle income folks to vote against their interests. Are people dumb? ...sometimes Are people fooled? ...sometimes I think the Republican strategy is to confuse the low and middle class and fool them into voting Republican.

I was a Democrat last election. This year, I'm with the Justice Party. They believe that there should be universal health care, free 4-years of college for all, and prosecution of people who authorized torture. They have other ideas I support.

Where I used to work, anything over six drinks per week was considered heavy drinking. That's less than one drink per day. The last time a Doc addressed my alcohol comsumption, he said: one glass of champaign on New Years Eve

After reading your post, I was about ready for a nightcap, but it occurred to me that in the old days, life expectancy was much lower. Excessive drinking could have contributed to their early demise.

Beaujolais nouveau is not bad this year. I bought a couple bottles at COSTCO in the USA for $8.50 per bottle. Last year, the price for a bottle of this stuff in Pattaya Carrefour was about five times the COSTCO's price.
