Yes, Old Hippie, I should have thought of that. 20 Kilos it is. I was about 6 kilos over and they didn't charge me extra, from PP to BKK.

 

Bangkok Air is a good way to travel. Dynamite service, good prices and the private lounges are excellent.

It's 20 KG's indeed, but if you sign up for their frequent flyer program, according to their website, you get another 10 kg's.

I am no big fan of Bangkok Air, I have used them 3 times in last 6 months going to Xian China since it is the only direct flight, on 2 occassions the return flight was cancelled and I had to make the Xian - Guilin internal flight on China Air to pick up BKK air flight from there.

I never noticed Bangkok Airways FF program advertised, but I'll try to get one.

 

I used their airpass, $80 a leg (international), Nov and Dec. The trick is getting a travel agent to understand the program. I had to show the printed out rules for the travel agent. She called Bangkok Airways, anyway, and once she found she got a %, she got it for me.

 

Would have rather dealt with Bkk Air office but it is located somewhere near Morchit. A little inconvenient, unless you've got a few hours to kill.

But I think I would have been able to get more options, like stopovers, etc.
